The 2121 K Street project consisted of the renovation of the existing 235,000 square foot base building, and the addition of three stories. Our work included the renovation of the existing elevator lobbies, adding façade lighting, as well as a new fitness center. It took a tremendous amount of coordination between the project teams to keep the building 100% operational while the top three floors were being constructed. Keeping the penthouse that housed all of the building mechanical equipment, as well as the building fire alarm system, operational, without interruption, until the new equipment could be brought on line proved to be a formidable task. We were successful in our efforts and are proud to look back at what and how we performed on this difficult building addition.
